"So, you buy a “winter home" in Scottsdale, then you realize you need to update and furnish it. Being from another state, you have no idea of the local resources available or where to even begin.  Thus, we went in search of a designer that could: make practical suggestions for interior updates, had access to local contractors and resources, would work with our preferences and life style,  and most importantly, that we could trust and that could work with us remotely.  We interviewed a number of highly recommended local interior designers and selected Mary Meinz.  Mary brought us design concepts distinctly unique from our other homes and that blended the interior feel to flow with the outdoor lifestyle we envisioned for our Arizona home.  With Mary’s astute guidance we made remodeling decisions to improve the continuity of the rooms by removing outdated niches and un-necessary walls. Removed carpeted areas and added tile flooring to match existing tile throughout the major living spaces, updated bathroom features and fixtures and selected a paint color to refresh the entire look and feel of the home. Mary sourced furnishings from a wide variety of vendors and artists, bringing in many unique custom pieces that stand out on their own while still complementing and blending to attain a unified look.  Surprising to us, was how effective and easy it was to make decisions on individual pieces while doing this almost entirely using pdf’s, e-mail and text messaging, i.e. remote technology.  Mary facilitated and was on site for the installation of all the furnishings and art work, sending us photos of the finished work as it came together.  Everyone who visits us remarks on the incredible flow of style and colors as well as the amazing art work throughout our home.  The design is impressive while still being warm and welcoming.  We could not be more pleased with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Mary to anyone for their interior design needs. ” Mary, we are so enjoying our new home remodel.
